MSc Science Communication & MSc Science Media Production
Candidates normally require at least a lower second class honours degree from a UK (or overseas equivalent) university or college of higher education in a scientific or science-related subject, and must be able to demonstrate their potential as a science communicator, as judged by the completion of an aptitude assignment (see below). Candidates may also submit portfolios of communication work that they have undertaken. Candidates with other qualifications are encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate relevant experience or aptitude. Applications are welcomed from both new graduates and those with postgraduate research or work experience of all kinds.
Prospective students should apply from November of the year before they wish to be admitted. Students must apply online. In addition they must complete an aptitude assignment (see links below) specific to the course for which they are applying - this should be attached along with your personal statement, under the 'personal statement' section of the online application form.
The online application form will send your main application to the Registry (so that references may be taken up, qualifications checked and so on).
The unit has no bursaries to give out, however there are some college-wide funding opportunities available.
