The Laboratory of Nano Bio Imaging develops and applies a diverse imaging toolbox. Such imaging technologies, probes, and assays enable imaging with i) high spatiotemporal resolution down to the single-cell level and with ii) sensitivities down to individual proteins, required for the mechanistic analysis of complex biological systems such as mice and zebrafish and for use in novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Our research combines the fields of stem cell and developmental biology, engineering, chemistry, and optics.
