Neurochemical CMOS array – bedside assay of ionic and inflammatory marker from the human brain
Severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the major cause of death and disability in people of working age. TBI patients face long periods of care within a specialist neurointensive care unit. This project aims to develop a new generation of brain monitoring devices that can visualize the pattern of neurochemical changes caused by the evolving injury.
