Volunteering at Graduation

We had a record number of volunteers supporting the Graduation Day Ceremonies in May 2018, including nearly 210 staff and students, making Graduation a fantastic day for our students!

We have a fantastic opportunity for staff and students to support the 2018 Undergraduate Ceremonies. The success of Graduation depends on the skills, time and energy of many staff and students. We are very grateful to all of our volunteers who help us make Imperial College's graduation a day to remember.

There will be a huge number of volunteer slots available which will become available in the coming weeks.

These opportunities range from two-hour early bird set-up tasks at the start of the day to all day stints across campus and the Royal Albert Hall. There are behind the scenes roles, such as set up through to putting out programmes, meeting and greeting visitors, supporting receptions across campus, graduand gowning and supporting information points.  You can select which role is best for you.

Volunteering can give you the opportunity to try something new, gain experience, develop skills, improve your career prospects, build confidence, meet new people and have fun!

Another great incentive is that every volunteer is entitled to a ticket to one of the graduation receptions where you will get a free glass of prosecco or juice and some canapes in addition to spending time with graduates and their guests!  Additionally if you volunteer for four or more hours you'll receive a £5.00 meal voucher to be used in one of the campus outlets.

All volunteers will be requested to attend a briefing session scheduled in early October, where you will receive a briefing and an amazing volunteer booklet.
