Web enrolment instructions
Beginning 1 September applicants can enrol & pay for courses via the Imperial College eStore. A booking link can be found on the course-information page however please first read below instructions.
Booking a place is easy - simply go to the relevant course-information page and click on the blue booking link at the bottom of the page. You will be directed to the Imperial College eStore where the correct rate category must be selected (see above) as the first step.
If you are a first-time eStore user you will need to create an account by typing in your email address and choosing a password. This account can then be reused for future bookings.
Once you are logged into the eStore there is a short questionnnaire to be completed. This includes selecting your desired course on a drop-down menu. You cannot finish your booking without completing the questionnnaire.
The table below explains the type, timing and purpose of the email notifications each applicant can expect to receive following completion of their enrolment & payment.
|What is sent||When is it sent||What does it contain|
|1. Payment confirmation||Instantaneously following submission of your online application||Confirms your payment and shows your order number and date of payment. |2. Enrolment confirmation||Not sent right away however you will receive this in good time, please treat your payment confirmation as confirmation that your details and payment have been received||Confirms your course choice, shows the programme your course is part of, confirms the term dates as well as the course day of the week and time|

Further programme information
Optional test / ECTS credits
Even though our evening classes cannot be taken for degree credit at Imperial College, ie. they do not count towards a student's science or medical degree programme, Imperial College undergraduates and postgraduates may, if they have attended 80% of their evening classes, take a test at the end of any evening class which, if passed, will entitle them to 2 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) units. Registration for these tests is held in January - all students receive information by email at the appropriate time.
Course participants who are not Imperial College students may also take these tests but will be charged a fee. Further details are contained in the email sent in January.
The tests are marked by Imperial staff and are rated Pass, Fail or Distinction and these results are published by email at the end of June.
Certificate of Attendance
Students who have attended a minimum of 80% of the sessions are eligible for a certificate of attendance to be issued by the teacher in the final class. Certificates not collected in class are only stored in the Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication for a limited time, therefore if you want to collect your certificate please do so without delay.
