Book exclusive, alumni-only tours to go behind the scenes at Imperial. In our series of talks, hear from alumni, Imperial experts and special guests on a range of topics. All talks and tours will be added to this page once confirmed.
All talks and tours are bookable in advance and will only be available to those alumni and guests who have already registered for Alumni Weekend. All registered alumni will receive an email with a special code to access tour and workshop tickets. Some of these events carry a small extra cost in addition to your registration for Alumni Weekend.
Teaching Imperial: Aerial Robotics Arena tour
Visit of the newly opened Brahmal Vasudevan Multi Terrain Aerial Robotics Arena. The Arena is the first of its kind in Europe, enabling engineers to test the next generation of aerial robotics for urban environments and extreme conditions. Researchers of the Aerial Robotics Laboratory will show the latest research activities, technological innovations and applications of the next generation of aerial robotics.
Wonderlab: the Statoil gallery (at the Science Museum)
Wonderlab: the Statoil gallery is an interactive hands-on gallery for children based in the Science Museum. We’ve secured a special rate for Alumni Weekend guests to the visit the lab over the weekend. Visitors of all ages can get hands-on with real scientific phenomena.
Teaching Imperial: Planetarium tour
Imperial's Outreach team and the Department of Physics bring you the chance to explore stars and constellations that are usually obscured by light pollution in a modern city, in this state-of-the-art inflatable mobile planetarium dome. This 360-degree cosmic experience is not to be missed so we invite you to step inside and explore the universe without even leaving Imperial.

Malaria by Dr Aubrey Cunnington
In this presentation, Dr Aubrey Cunnington will discuss how Imperial College London is contributing to reducing the burden of malaria and aiming for its eradication. Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is preventable and curable. Malaria has a major impact on population health and on countries’ economic growth prospects.
White City presentation by Professor Neil Alford
In this talk, Neil Alford Associate Provost (Academic Planning) will outline the master plan for the White City Campus including the stages of its development, what has been done up until now and the timeline of future plans. You will also gain an insight into what will feature on the new campus.
