National Student Survey
The National Student Survey (NSS) is an annual survey of final year undergraduates at UK Higher and Further Education Institutions. It was first run in 2005 and is carried out by Ipsos Mori, commissioned by the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
The survey asks respondents to rate the extent to which they agree with a number of statements on a scale of 1 - 5, where 5 denotes definite agreement. There are 27 questions, grouped into 9 categories. The percentages answering “Mostly Agree” or “Definitely Agree” in each question category in 2018 for Imperial and the sector are shown below:
|Question category||Imperial 2018||Sector Average 2018|
|Assessment and Feedback||64%||73%|
|Organisation and Management||75%||75%|
In addition to the questions, there are boxes at the end of the survey allowing students to provide positive or negative comments about their experiences as a student.
