The Crick offers the opportunity for exceptional clinicians to carry out a three-year PhD at the Crick, following the Crick’s PhD programme. These will either be Crick core funded or Crick-CRUK funded PhD's which are registered at one of the partner institutions.

Fellows will have a Crick group leader as their primary supervisor and a secondary supervisor from an appropriate partner institution. Imperial staff have the opportunity to become a secondary supervisor for both the Crick core and Crick CRUK funded fellows. If neither supervisor has a clinical background, a practicing clinician must be identified to be part of the supervisory team or thesis committee to provide additional clinical career mentorship.
